eLearn Authorized User – Fixed Gauge

Description

Per 10 CFR 30.33(a)(3), individuals who are using or working around fixed-type nuclear gauges and are likely to receive occupational doses over 100 mrem in a year are required to receive training to qualify as Authorized Users (AUs).  AUs have the responsibility to ensure the proper use, security, and routine maintenance of fixed nuclear gauges containing licensed materials.

This eLearn Authorized User for Fixed Gauge training course meets all the criteria of NUREG 1556, Vol 4, Appendix D.  The course includes three lessons, two practice quizzes, and one final exam.  To receive a certificate of completion, the student must pass the final exam with a grade of 80% or better.  Students may retake the exam as often as required to pass.

The course employs self-paced video presentations.  Students may review any or all parts as often as desired.  Students are also entitled to one hour of free one-on-one coaching with the instructor if desired.

COURSE VALIDITY

Students can log in to this course and materials for one full year from the date of purchase.

CERTIFICATE

Once you pass the final exam, you will be able to download a Radiation Solutions pdf certificate that includes the course name, applicable regulations, your name, date of completion, and signature by the authorized trainer.

CERTIFICATE VALIDITY

There is no specific requirement for retraining for this job certificate.  It only suggests that one would be wise to retake this course periodically to update oneself on any new regulations or requirements that may have been forgotten.
